Scripps and the YMCA Become Partners in Health

Scripps Health and the YMCA of San Diego County have joined forces to promote wellness throughout the region. With a similar mission of keeping people healthy, the partnership is a natural fit for both organizations.

YMCA locations throughout the county will serve as hosts to a variety of Scripps events and activities during the year. These will include ongoing health and wellness education, on-site screenings and physician lectures.

With the rise of chronic illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease and the obesity epidemic, the importance of health education and wellness efforts becomes more critical for our community. The creation of this partnership gives both organizations the opportunity to expand wellness efforts in San Diego County.
