Scripps Expert Shares Insights on Effectiveness of Biofeedback
Biofeedback shows patients their stress responses (blood pressure, heart rate and muscle tension) on a monitor, in real time, offering immediate feedback as they try to stop stress symptoms by using cognitive and breathing techniques to control pain, headaches, stress and other conditions. Jim Cahill, biofeedback therapist with Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, recently offered his insights on biofeedback with John Hopkins University professor Dr. Paul Christo on WBAL-AM radio.
