Scripps Physician Reviews Latest Weight Loss Options on KUSI

New device blocks hunger signals sent along vagal nerve from stomach

Takata KUSI-600×375

Physicians at Scripps Health are the first in the San Diego region to use a new implanted device that promotes weight loss by blocking hunger signals from the stomach to the brain. The device could be an option for obese people who fail to lose weight through dieting.

Scripps Clinic surgeon Mark Takata, MD, discussed this new minimally invasive weight loss option on KUSI TV recently.

The original KUSI video, titled "Scripps Clinic Center for Weight Management," is not available at this time.
