Scripps Dietitian Explains New Dietary Guidelines on KUSI

Focus shifts from avoiding fats to limiting added sugars and refined carbohydrates

When the federal government’s top dietary advisers issued new recommendations on the consumption of fats, added sugars and refined carbohydrates, many people were left wondering how to translate those guidelines into their eating habits.

Misha Biden, a dietitian at the Scripps Clinic Center for Weight Management in Del Mar, addressed some of those questions in a recent interview on KUSI TV.

The KUSI report, "What Do New Dietary Guidelines Mean for Healthy Eating?," is not available at this time.
