Scripps Physician Throws 100-year-old Patient Birthday Party

Russell Zane, MD, a family medicine specialist at Scripps Coastal Medical Center Carlsbad, last year promised Sarah Kurtz that he would do something special for her when she turned 100. He did. He threw her a birthday party in his office recently, right after giving his centenarian patient a clean bill of health. The San Diego Union-Tribune and the Coast News covered the story.
