Tourniquets could save lives during mass casualty events

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego trauma surgeon and Chief of Staff Michael Sise, MD, appeared on a number of local TV and radio news programs recently to discuss the shootings in Las Vegas.


Dr. Sise focused attention on Stop the Bleed, a national campaign to teach people how to use tourniquets to cut off potentially life-threatening hemorrhaging.
