Andrew Lai, MD

Internist Andrew Lai, MD, is a member of the Private Internal Medicine Center (PIMC) at Scripps Clinic, a concierge medical practice that provides specialized primary care services to a limited number of patients who pay a fixed annual fee. In practice since 1997, Dr. Lai practices a wide range of general internal medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive primary care, he has a focus on chronic disease management and preventive care.

Dr. Lai believes that a collaborative approach to care yields the best possible outcomes. He believes in having frank and open conversations with his patients, so that expectations from both doctor and patient are expressed. He also feels it is important to educate his patients and thoroughly discuss their medical concerns, illnesses, testing and treatment options, so they can feel comfortable about the care they are receiving.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, including his three boys, and running.
