Scripps Vista Doctor Builds Bridges for School Children in Native Vietnam

Scripps primary care physician runs charity in son's name

Dr. Hei Le started a foundation to build bridges for children in Vietnam in memory of his late son.

Dr. Hai Le, an internal medicine physician at Scripps Coastal Medical Center Vista, and his wife, Loan, have been grieving the loss of their son, Ansel, since his passing two years ago.

To keep his memory alive, the Carlsbad couple run the Ansel Foundation Project, which raises money to fund the construction of bridges in their native Vietnam so children can get to school safely during the monsoon season.
