PR News Whittier Diabetes Concert 600×375

Almost 200 guests came together in August to support Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute, raising in excess of $370,000 for diabetes research, education and care in the San Diego community.

Held at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay on Shelter Island, the evening under the stars featured a cocktail reception and gourmet buffet with a live performance by Oh, What a Night, a tribute band playing the music of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons.

The silent and live auctions featured cruises, getaways, exclusive gifts and services. The Support-A-Cause fundraiser generated sizable donations for The Campaign for Scripps Diabetes Care, which will establish the Scripps Diabetes Care and Research Center and create an endowment to ensure program funding for generations to come.
