Those who pick up Scripps Health President and CEO Chris Van Gorder’s book, “The Front-Line Leader,” will find it to be “a relatively breezy read, full of personal anecdotes that bolster his suggestions for building strong relationships throughout an organization to help it thrive,” according to a review of the new release by the San Diego Daily Transcript.

“Chris demonstrates that relationships thrive on proximity, openness and even personal vulnerability,” American Hospital Association President and Chief Executive Richard Umbdenstock told the news outlet.
