FDA Approves Device for Weight Loss

Scripps Clinic experts weighs in on clinical trial and patient success

New device approved for weight management.  Dr. Takata and Dr. Fujioka, Scripps weight management specialists, gave their thoughts to Sci-Tech Today.

On Jan. 15 the Food and Drug Administration approved a vagal nerve stimulator for the treatment of obesity. Ken Fujioka, MD, and Mark Takata, MD, both of the Scripps Clinic Center for Weight Management shared their expertise with the media.
