Global Radio Show Features Project Dulce Diabetes Program

PRI's 'The World' report tells story of new Iraqi immigrants to the U.S.

Project Dulce (dulce means sweet in Spanish) is a 16-year-old community-based program developed by Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute.

The global radio show “The World” reported on Project Dulce, a diabetes care and education program operated by Scripps Health in the San Diego area.

The program targets diabetes patients from culturally diverse populations, such as the Iraqi immigrant couple featured in the Public Radio International report.
