Media focus on uncompensated care, medical training, prevention services

Scripps’ 2015 Community Benefit report showed the nonprofit health system invested nearly $373 million into community benefit services across San Diego County, including providing more than $320 million in uncompensated care.


Media coverage followed after Scripps issued a press release that detailed the investment made in the entire San Diego region, and separate releases detailing investment in the four community areas where Scripps hospitals are based.
