Steven Steinhubl, MD, director of digital medicine at the Scripps Translational Science Institute (STSI), has teamed up with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to help develop a smartphone app for drug addiction research.
Dr. Steinhubl worked with NIDA on the request for applications from app developers wishing to participate in the institute’s Addiction Research: There’s an App for That challenge. He also will help evaluate proposals submitted by the competitors. Three winners will split $100,000 in prize money.
