Free, superhero-themed yoga class receives news coverage

Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts, some wearing superhero costumes, recently participated in the third annual “Yoga on the Midway,” an outdoor event presented by Scripps Health and the Downtown San Diego Partnership.

The free, hour-long class led by Yoga One, supported the organizations’ Healthy Living in the City program, which encourages downtown residents to explore healthy options in their neighborhood. The event’s superhero theme coincided with the start of Comic-Con in San Diego. Scripps Health orthopedic spine surgeon Maneesh Bawa, MD, spoke at the event about the benefits of yoga for back health.
