A local CBS Radio program that honors outstanding nurses has named Cynthia Clarke-Horvath, registered nurse at the Ambulatory Surgery Center on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, as its December CARE Award winner.

Clarke-Horvath was nominated by a friend who described her as "an outstanding example of a professional nurse: caring, reliable, dedicated, compassionate and competent."
