Stephanie Scirocco, a registered nurse who works in the intensive care unit at Scripps Green Hospital, has been named the January winner of a CBS Radio award that honors outstanding nurses.

Representatives from CBS Radio stations KYXY 96.5 and Energy 103.7 and award sponsors Azusa Pacific University and the Hotel del Coronado presented the award.

A co-worker nominated Scirocco and wrote: "She is a selfless person who strives to improve the lives of people around her. In addition, she is easy to work with and always has a positive attitude, even amid stressful situations."

Scripps captured the moment when the award was presented. (This Scripps video is no longer available.)
