Doctors, researchers gather for 12th annual meeting

More than 220 physicians and researchers gathered in San Diego this week for the 12th annual Scripps Health Brain Injury Rehabilitation Conference.

The meeting featured a keynote address from Robert Stern, MD, a Boston University neurologist who is leading a national effort to develop a way to diagnose brain damage in living patients who suffered concussions while playing football and other contact sports.

Other conference topics include the latest advances in brain imaging and trauma care, according to Michael Lobatz, MD, neurologist and medical director of neurosciences at Scripps Health.
