The campaign to reduce smoking has been widely successful, especially in California, according to a report by KPBS. But one side effect has been weight gain by some people after they kick the smoking habit.


Ken Fujioka, MD, director of Scripps Clinic's Center for Weight Management, said the effort to reduce obesity hasn't been as successful.
