Mercy Outreach Surgical Team celebrates 30th anniversary

The Scripps Mercy Outreach Surgical Team (M.O.S.T.) now in its 30th year, raised a record $250,000 at its sixth annual Mariachi Festival at Humphreys by the Bay to help fund its humanitarian missions to aid children in Mexico. The volunteer medical team provides free corrective surgeries to children with birth defects or other disfiguring conditions.

At the Mariachi Festival, organizers screened a video of M.O.S.T.'s most recent mission to Morelia, in the Mexican state of Michoacan.
