Media cover rising number of flu cases across San Diego area

News media outlets are closely following the rising number of flu cases across San Diego County, which has resulted in an increase in emergency room visits in area hospitals. The number of deaths are also up.

Shawn Evans, MD, an emergency medicine physician at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, told CBS News 8 that this is one of the worst flu seasons he has seen and reminded people to get vaccinated if they haven't already done so.
