Scripps patient who is Encinitas-based artist praises program

The Encinitas Advocate recently featured a healing arts class offered at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas to patients with neurological disorders and brain injuries.

The article quoted Kay Bain Weiner, an Encinitas-based artist and author who has helped raise money for the Scripps Health Foundation for more than two decades. Weiner discovered the arts program during a recent stay at the hospital following a neurological injury.
