How to Enroll in MyScripps Patient Portal and Manage Your Care

MyScripps is a private and secure patient portal website and app for patients at Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center. It gives you 24/7 access to your health information. 

You can enroll in MyScripps using either a desktop computer or the MyScripps mobile app. The process is quick, secure and gives you full access to your health records, care team and virtual visits. 

1. Go to MyScripps.org/MyChart

2. Click on the “Sign up now” button

3. If you don’t have an activation code, click “Sign up online” 

4. Fill out the Self Sign-Up from with the following: 

• Name 
• Address 
• Date of birth   
• Last four numbers of your Social Security 
• Home phone number 
• Email address 
• Gender 

5. Click “Submit”  

You’ll receive an email with instructions to activate your new account.

Once you receive your activation instructions, follow these steps to finish setup: 

• Create a username and password
• Click “Next”  
• Set your email notification preferences 
• Select “Yes” to enable email updates
• Enter your email address and click “Sign in” 
• Review and accept the terms and conditions

You’re now ready to use MyScripps. 

Many people prefer to get started right from their smartphone. If you're using a mobile device, you may want to download the MyScripps app first and sign up from there. 

• Open the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play Store (for Android)
• Search “MyScripps”  
• Tap to download and install the app 
• Once installed, open the app
• If you already have a MyScripps username and password, log in
• If you’re new, tap “Sign Up” and follow the steps to create your account

Note: If you already have the previous “MyChart” app, you do not need to install the new MyScripps app. The MyChart app gives you the same access to MyScripps and all its features.

With MyScripps, you can manage your care and connect with Scripps providers from anywhere. Once enrolled, you can: 

• Schedule appointments 
• Have Video Visits with a provider 
• Complete an E-Visit, online health questionnaire 
• Use the Symptom Checker to get guidance on next steps 
• Send and receive messages with your care team 
• Request a prescription refill 
• View test and lab results 
• Use On My Way to see wait times for labs, HealthExpress and urgent care 
• Review your medical history and visit summaries 
• Check in ahead of time for scheduled visits 
• Pay your bill securely online 

Scripps Health is part of the Apple Health app platform. That means if you have a MyScripps account, you can view your key medical records on your iPhone or iOS devices, right alongside your fitness and wellness data.
