18-month roll-out to 800 MDs compressed to a few weeks

Local media outlets recently reported on plans by Scripps Health to rapidly expand its telehealth video consultation services over the next few weeks as part of its continuing efforts to provide high quality care in a safe and convenient way.

Prior to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the health system had planned an 18-month roll-out for the expansion to 800 Scripps Clinic providers. But that process has now been compressed into several weeks.
