Innovative approach provides extra protection and efficiency

Scripps Health recently began testing the use of a clear plexiglass booth as a way for its staff to collect coronavirus test samples from patients. The biomedical department at Scripps designed and constructed the booth, which has been used at various Scripps locations across San Diego County during the past few weeks. KPBS recently explored this new approach with Ghazala Sharieff, MD, MBA. Dr. Sharieff is chief medical officer, clinical excellence and experience, Scripps Health.
