Scripps Health hospitals were featured in a recent San Diego Union-Tribune article about celebrations that are happening to mark the discharges of COVID-19 patients. Staff members line the hallways and cheer and clap as patients leave ICU units or go home from the hospital.

At Scripps, the practice started a few weeks ago at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas among nurses, doctors and employees who work in the COVID-19 unit. Now, these celebrations are happening at all five Scripps hospital campuses.
