A recent San Diego Union-Tribune article about the realities of COVID-19 in local hospitals featured scenes and comments from Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista.

Dennis Amundson, DO, who heads the intensive care unit at Scripps Chula Vista, told the newspaper that the conditions he’s witnessed in recent months are as tough as anything he saw during his career as a military physician.
