More than 160 patients have died at Scripps hospitals during pandemic

Scripps Health CEO Chris Van Gorder issued an urgent plea to people in San Diego County during a recent NBC7 interview.


He said a failure by some to follow masking and social distancing guidelines to curtail the spread of the coronavirus was spreading the disease further around the community and putting more pressure on Scripps staff members who have watched more than 160 patients die from COVID-19.
