Hospitalizations expected to follow rise in local positive testing rates

Scripps Health Senior Corporate Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Excellence and Experience Ghazala Sharieff, MD, told KPBS in a recent interview that the health system is bracing for a spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations following the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.


She noted in the interview that Scripps hospitals are well prepared to care for more patients if numbers increase as predicted.
