Lusardis donated $25 million to transform Scripps Encinitas
The Chronicle of Philanthropy has named Warner and Debbie Lusardi of Rancho Santa Fe to its annual “Philanthropy 50” listing of the most generous benefactors in the United States. In 2020, the Lusardis donated $25 million to help fund a new acute care hospital tower and pulmonary institute at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. The first phase of the new facility, to be called Lusardi Tower, is expected to open for patient care in 2025.
