Katelyn Renneisen’s commitment to helping is rooted in family
NBC 7 News recently interviewed Scripps emergency department nurse Katelyn Renneisen about her experiences caring for COVID-19 patients throughout the pandemic. Renneisen said she and her colleagues at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas remain resilient, despite enduring persistent fatigue, staffing shortages — and lately, mistreatment by patients. Renneisen said she followed her mother into nursing out of a deep desire to help people feel better.
