Lisa Cink now caddies for husband and pro golfer Stewart Cink

The San Diego Union-Tribune recently profiled breast cancer survivor Lisa Cink, wife of professional golfer Stewart Cink. After successful treatment for advanced-stage breast cancer several years ago, Lisa is now thriving — and caddying for Stewart during this week’s PGA Tour event in San Diego, the Farmers Insurance Open. Lisa was treated by Thomas Buchholz, MD, who is now medical director of the Scripps cancer program. Dr. Buchholz shared insights into Lisa’s treatment, as well as the overall progress in outcomes for cancer patients nationwide. Dr. Buchholz also is a Scripps Clinic physician.
