New research raises questions about healthy drinking levels
Scripps Clinic transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist Jennifer Au, MD, recently appeared on KPBS Radio’s “Midday Edition” program to discuss the health risks of drinking alcohol.
As more research has raised questions about the amount of alcohol that is safe to drink, Dr. Au said the right answer for each person is going to depend on their unique circumstances. So she encourages people to consult with their physician to figure out what works best for them.
