Biography
Jennifer Au, MD, is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist who specializes in liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and liver transplantation.
She has been practicing medicine since 2016 and believes in partnering with her patients to make sure they understand their conditions and take an active role in their own care.
She is currently the medical director of the Scripps Cancer Center hepatocellular carcinoma program and oversees the multidisciplinary tumor board conference and clinic.
Dr. Au’s research interests focus on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, nutrition and metabolism in chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. She is a founding member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD’s) Women’s leadership development program. She has authored articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a clinical associate professor of medicine at Scripps Clinic.
