Ghazala Sharieff, MD, MBA, recognized for patient safety
Becker’s Hospital Review recently named Ghazala Sharieff, MD, MBA, to its 2025 list of Patient Safety Experts to Know.
The national news outlet cited the success of Scripps’ “Sprint Teams,” a collaborative, problem-solving program introduced by Dr. Sharieff that has helped reduce the incidence of patent infections and patient falls across the Scripps Health system.
Dr. Sharieff is corporate executive senior vice president and chief medical and operations officer of acute care at Scripps Health.
