New York Times article features San Diego hospital

While early focus was on cuts to rural hospital in the “Big Beautiful” domestic policy bill passed by Congress earlier this year, the risk to urban hospitals like Scripps Mercy Hospital is equally significant, according to a recent New York Times analysis. 


The article focused on new Harvard research that found many of the hospitals facing the biggest financial threats from steep cuts to Medicaid (Medi-Cal in California) are in large cities.
