Hospital is first on West Coast to care for astronauts immediately after return from space

After four astronauts recently splashed down off the coast of San Diego following a first-ever medical evacuation from the International Space Station, they were taken by helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. 


The visit marked the first time a West Coast hospital provided care for astronauts who had just returned from space.
