Scripps Health CEO says damage has already been done, with more on the horizon

Scripps Health President and CEO warned in a newspaper commentary that federal cuts to health care spending had put hospitals and health systems across the country at risk. 


In a newly published commentary in the San Diego Union-Tribune, Van Gorder says a new round of health care cuts being considered in Washington, D.C., will potentially be a devastating blow to hospitals that have already cut their costs as deep as they can without shutting down more programs, increasing wait times for care and possibly shuttering facilities for the most vulnerable patients.
