More than a dozen specially trained therapy dogs and their human companions gathered recently outside Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for the annual luncheon that celebrates their service to patients and hospital workers throughout the Scripps Health system.
The gathering coincided with National Volunteer Week.
