Ankush Bansal, MD

Ankush K. Bansal, MD, is an expert in anesthesiology as well as pain medicine and has dedicated his academic life to understanding the mechanisms involved in chronic pain and how to most effectively help people manage their pain. Dr. Bansal has studied the impact of exercise, nutrition and movement on the human body and has particular interest in treating chronic neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee and nerve pain through various medical, interventional and regenerative techniques. His goal is to bring the highest quality, most innovative and compassionate pain services to his patients.

While receiving his advanced training at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Bansal was mentored by some of the most renowned figures in pain medicine. He moved to San Diego to be close to his family and become an integral part of the local community by improving the lives of patients suffering from chronic painful conditions.

In his free time, he loves to be with friends and family and to be outside bicycling, hiking, backpacking or jogging.
