Emily Thurston, NP

As a nurse practitioner, Emily Thurston, NP, provides comprehensive primary care services to newborns, children and teens, focusing on preventive medicine. Emily brings experience as a nurse in various settings to Scripps, including pediatric acute care and psychiatric care. 

Children amaze Emily every day, and she is passionate about keeping them healthy. She believes in the power of prevention through nutrition, physical activity and emotional wellbeing. With a natural, gentle approach to both well and sick kids, Emily’s goal is to minimize the need for medications. She is honored and excited to be a part of a child’s journey through parenthood.

In her spare time, Emily stays active chasing after her three children. She enjoys hiking, camping, practicing yoga and cooking.
