Family medicine physician Sarah Papalia, MD, provides comprehensive primary care services from adolescents to geriatrics, focusing on preventive medicine. Her background in biomedical research and physiology formed a foundation from which she provides thorough care with a systems-based approach, including functional medicine and mental health.
Dr. Papalia believes that wellness is an active pursuit, one that requires individual tailoring with insight, expertise and compassion. She believes that her responsibility to her patients includes being flexible in her role as consultant, coach, researcher, advocate or counselor. She considers the patient-physician relationship to be one of the most intimate forms of trust that can exist, one deserving of kindness and respect.
Having lived on three continents and throughout the United States, Dr. Papalia is now most content exploring California beaches and surf with her family or attending concerts with friends.
