Heather Chen, MD, is an ophthalmologist who has a clinical interest in cataract consultation and surgery, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, and many other ophthalmologic disorders. Dr. Chen performs cataract surgery, including premium lens implantation and combined minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. She also performs various in-clinic laser procedures.
Dr. Chen believes that open communication and discussion of patient goals are key for providing the best care. She was awarded the Lamont Ericson Award for outstanding patient care by a resident at University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Chen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, taking Zumba, painting and spending time with her family.
