Biography

Liliana Uribe-Bruce, MD, is an endocrinologist who treats a wide variety of metabolic disorders. As a specialist in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, Dr. Uribe-Bruce’s clinical interests include diagnosing and treating adults with health conditions related to hormones, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, pancreas, parathyroids, ovaries, testes, bone and lipid disorders. 


Dr. Uribe-Bruce believes in the importance of creating a strong patient-physician team to achieve better health outcomes and overall well-being. She strives to understand her patients' main concerns and provide focused health education that empowers them to be active participants in setting health goals and choosing the best treatment options. 


Dr. Uribe-Bruce is interested in endocrinology clinical research that narrows health disparities among medically underserved groups, including gaps in diabetes care, personalized genomic medicine and access to health education and care. She has presented her clinical research projects at endocrinology meetings within the U.S. and internationally and has published in peer-reviewed journals on various endocrinology topics. She is also a Voluntary Medicine Instructor for UCSD medical students working at UCSD Free Clinics.  


In her free time, Dr. Uribe-Bruce enjoys reading, listening to all types of music, swimming, walking by the beach, watching soccer and traveling with her family.
