Gary Levinson, MD, is a member of the Private Internal Medicine Center (PIMC) at Scripps Clinic, a concierge medical practice that provides specialized primary care services to a limited number of patients who pay a fixed annual fee. Dr. Levinson provides comprehensive primary care with special interests in preventive care and sleep disorders. He has expertise in cardiovascular disease, diabetes and the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical disorders.
Dr. Levinson involves his patients in their health care, helping them to understand their illnesses and empowering them to make well-informed medical decisions. He believes in taking care of the whole patient, as a person is more than a sum of their parts. With an emphasis on optimal health, Dr. Levinson addresses mental and physical well-being, with particular attention to sleep, nutrition and exercise.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Levinson enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and their significant others. He loves to hike, enjoying the valleys, mountains and beaches of San Diego County, as well as hiking the highest peaks in North America. An avid sports fan, Dr. Levinson follows Padres baseball, NFL, Premier League soccer, rugby and tennis. He stays active exercising regularly in the gym and playing tennis or pickleball.
