Seaver L. Soon, MD, is a dermatologist with specialized training and expertise in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Soon offers dermatology procedures for the prevention and early detection of skin cancer, as well as advanced treatment options for basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, including Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive facial surgery.

He has a special interest in the management of skin cancer in high-risk populations, such as solid organ transplant recipients or people with hematologic malignancies. In collaboration with the Scripps Center for Organ Transplantation, Dr. Soon initiated the Scripps Transplant Dermatology Clinic to provide patients with risk assessment, education, preventive care and treatment options.

In addition, Dr. Soon provides a wide range of cosmetic therapies and procedures, including injectable fillers for wrinkle and contour improvement. He also provides procedures to restore skin tone, color and quality that include a combination of cosmetic laser dermatology procedures, microneedling and chemical peels. He offers tailored treatment options that combine at-home topical regimens and in-office procedures to achieve natural-looking, lasting results.

Dr. Soon is active in clinical research focused on transplant dermatology, the treatment of advanced skin cancer and new cosmetic dermatology treatments. He regularly presents at national and international medical conferences on the topics of surgical reconstruction, skin cancer, chemical peels and transplant dermatology.

He is a member of several medical organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative and the International Peeling Society. Dr. Soon also serves on the board of directors for the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative (ITSCC).
