Matthew Schultzel, DO

Matthew Schultzel, DO, specializes in general surgery, as well as minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery. His areas of interest include endoscopic surgery, single-incision laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, as well as transanal video assisted surgery for benign tumors unable to be retrieved via colonoscopy. He is one of the few surgeons in the nation performing TaTME (transanal total mesorectal excision), and is fellowship trained in the use of single-site laparoscopic surgery (SILS), transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) and single-site robotic surgery. He also performs general surgical procedures using the robot, including hernia repair and cholecystectomy.
