Sahara Dry Eye Study

This study will compare Restasis eye drops to TearCare treatments in patients with dry eyes. Participation will be between 1 to 2 years depending on which group is assigned.

Inclusion Criteria

Patients must:
  • Be 22 years old
  • Have significant dry eye

Exclusion Criteria

Patients must not:
  • Have other eye diseases
  • Have used Accutane
  • Have punctal plugs
  • Have permanent eyeliner

Additional Info

  • The TearCare System is a warm compress therapy designed to deliver controlled, precise heat to the eyelids for 15 minutes to melt or soften oil in the eyelid glands and then gently express the oil with a special instrument.
