Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke
Every year about 800,000 people suffer a stroke in the United States. Significant risk factors include atrial fibrillation (a heart rhythm disorder) and hypertension (high blood pressure).
Treating these conditions can significantly reduce the risk of a first or recurrent stroke.
Join a member of the Scripps Health stroke team to learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke. They will discuss how to reduce the risk factors associated with stroke, the different types of strokes, and the latest advancements in stroke treatment.
These lectures are free and healthy refreshments will be provided. However seating is limited and registration is required.
