Prebys Cancer Center offers a wide range of advanced cancer treatments and patient support services.

The 40,000-square-foot, four-story facility provides advanced, individualized cancer care to patients across the San Diego region. From leading-edge medical technology and clinical expertise, to the comforting environment and personalized support services, Prebys Cancer Center is a comprehensive treatment facility.

As part of Scripps Cancer Center, the support services offered begin at the time of a patient’s diagnosis and continue through completion of treatment and beyond. The Woltman Family College Building across the street on the Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego campus, a historic structure built nearly a century ago to train nurses, has taken on a new purpose providing nonclinical cancer support. Services include patient navigation, pastoral counseling, family consultation, meditation, wig and prosthetic fittings, support groups and a patient resource library.

The Scripps Cancer Center radiation therapy locations across San Diego County provide compassionate and high-quality care together with state-of-the-art radiation therapy technologies, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), breast radiation therapy including prone technique, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and high-dose brachytherapy.

The Scripps radiation therapy centers have been awarded accreditation by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) through APEx — the Accreditation Program for Excellence®. The APEx accreditation program validates a radiation oncology facility’s excellence in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Accreditation through APEx is a voluntary and rigorous multi-step process including equipment, modalities, techniques, and oncology information and treatment planning systems used at each center. The accreditation demonstrates our continued focus on safety and quality and our commitment to patient-centered care.
